Northern Virginia Chapter Judicial Screening Interviews for One Anticipated Fairfax County Circuit Court Vacancy

The Virginia Women Attorneys Association, Northern Virginia Chapter's Judicial Screening Committee will conduct virtual interviews of applicants for the anticipated vacancy on the Fairfax County Circuit Court on September 20, 2021.

Applications must be returned to Jamel Rowe via email at jrowe@livesaymyers.com or via the online Judicial Candidates Questionnaire by 5:00 p.m. on September 16, 2021. If completing the questionnaire online, please enter jrowe@livesaymyers.com for item 4.

Please also include a photograph and biography with your application.

NVWAA and/or VWAA members who practice in the Fairfax County Circuit Court are needed to sit on the panel. Please contact Jamel at jrowe@livesaymyers.com or (703) 865-4746 as soon as possible if you are able to participate.


Judicial Screening Interviews for Anticipated Vacancy on the Supreme Court of Virginia

The Virginia Women Attorneys Association’s Judicial Screening Committee will conduct interviews of applicants for the anticipated vacancy on the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Interviews of applicants for this vacancy will be conducted virtually via Zoom on October 26, 2021.

Candidates interested in applying should submit an application to Maureen E. Carr and Michelle Parker, Co-Chairs of the Committee, by September 30, 2021 at 5:00pm by: 

  1. Downloading the application as a PDF and emailing the completed application to mcarr@beankinney.com and mparker@decklaw.com; or
  1. Completing the application electronically and listing mcarr@beankinney.com and mparker@decklaw.com in the field for question #4.

The VWAA Welcomes Its Newest Chapter

The VWAA is pleased to announce the formation of the Abingdon/SWVA Chapter. On June 25th, 2021 the VWAA Board of Directors approved the Petition for a Charter presented by eleven VWAA members.  The Chapter will hold a celebratory reception on August 11th in Abingdon.
